Happy 1st anniversary to us!
It had been such an honor to work with with Jenina this past year. It has been an honor to explore the world with her, parts of myself and to share awesomely beautiful, fun and emotionally raw things with you. Its been great to do giveaways to get goodies to our Brown girls. I’ve been looking at the world in a whole different way, keeping Brown girls at the forefront of my mind in everything I do and every interaction that I have.
I really can’t even begin to speak about how incredible its been to be working with Jenina on this project and dreaming up so many others! She is so easy-going and passionate, constantly encouraging me and upping antes as if to say, “This is our world, we can do whatever we want!” Jenina’s energy and creativity keep me on my toes and keep me on the path of growth as a woman, as a mother, and as a storyteller. She keeps me towards truth and I am so grateful for her and the chance to empower and uplift Brown girls with her.
